Elected by students, for students the Students’ Council is one of the highest governing bodies of your Students’ Union and is made up of elected student representatives and the Student Affairs Committee (SAC).
Students’ Council decides on Union policy, makes sure that existing policies are put into action and that your SAC keep standards high across all aspects of the Union.
Students’ Council Members will represent your views, debate constructively on key issues and attend Students’ Council Meetings.
The Council meets three times a year and everyone is welcome at the meetings; anyone can put forward new policy to be discussed through our online voting platform Your Big Ideas.
Elections to become a member of Students’ Council take place in March for the following academic year. If you would like additional information about Students’ Council, the election process or how to get involved please contact email@example.com.
