Volunteering - Livesey Award
What is the Livesey Award?
The Livesey Award has been developed by UCLan Students' Union to recognise the contributions of all our volunteers. It is a thank you for the work, time and effort you have put into volunteering with us and will help you understand the importance of the impact your efforts have on both the Students' Union, the people and communities you volunteer with and, most importantly, to help you see how much you have grown personally through doing the things you have done while volunteering.
The award is structured in four parts - Recognition, Bronze, Silver and Gold. It is up to you what level of the award you attain towards, the only differential factor is the level of your contribution and commitment over the life-tme of your vounteering within the Students' Union.
Why should I do the Livesey Award?
The award leads to a free certificate accredited by UCLan Students' Union and Blue Edge Training, who are an institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Centre, which may be used towards you completing section 6.2 of the Higher Education Acievement Record (HEAR). It is one of the few ways of completing this section of the HEAR within the Universty and so complements other awards from the University which fulfils Section 6 of the HEAR, such as the Advantage Pathway and Futures Award. The HEAR appears on your final degree transcript.
