Students' Union League
The Students’ Union recognises the need to develop recreational opportunities for students and consequently SUL (Students’ Union League) was created. SUL aims to offer an alternative to the competitive University port teams and encourage those students who play sport recreationally to join a fun social league that promotes participation for all levels of ability.
SUL hopes the majority of courses/student halls will be represented in the leagues, so there is no reason why you and group of friends currently studying or living together cannot get together and enter a team! - 11-a-Side Football
The 11 aside football league runs throughout the academic year at both Moor Park and Ashton Park, both situated within walking distance of campus. Fixtures take place every Wednesday afternoon (weather permitting!) with fixtures kicking off at 2pm. - Badminton
SUL Badminton takes place throughout term time with fixtures taking place every Thursday evening at Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre. All games are FREE for students and staff with a sports membership otherwise a £2 casual fee will be charged. - Basketball 3 v 3
Launch Event - 3 v 3 Tournament on Saturday 8th October 12-5pm @ STFSCSUL Basketball 3 v3 takes place throughout term time with fixtures taking place every Saturday afternoon at Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre. All games are FREE for students and staff with a sports membership otherwise a £2 casual fee will be charged.
- Futsal
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA. Starting from Saturday 1st October, the first 8 weeks will be FREE for all participants. - Netball
Enjoyed playing netball at school? Stopped playing and would love to start again? Looking for a fun, new activity? Then SUL Netball is for you! SUL Netball consists of teams from courses and halls, so there is no reason why you and group of friends currently studying or living together cannot get together and enter a team! - Table Tennis
SUL Table Tennis takes place throughout term time with fixtures taking place every Sunday at Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre. All games are FREE for students and staff with a sports membership otherwise a £2 casual fee will be charged.
